Who We Are

Loun is a multi-service platform operating in Haiti and abroad that helps users request rides, order food, groceries and health products, shop on a marketplace, and pay in installments. We also provide in-app wallet features and customer support.

Information We Collect

  • Account data, such as first name, last name, email address, phone number in +509 format, and password hash.
  • Profile details, such as photo, language, and referral or affiliation code.
  • Transactional data, such as orders, trips, marketplace purchases, installment schedules, wallet balance, and payouts.
  • Device and log data, such as app version, device identifiers, crash logs, and basic analytics.
  • Location for rides and deliveries, including pickup and drop-off points and live GPS during an active trip or delivery.
  • Communications, such as messages with drivers, shoppers, specialists, and customer support tickets.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and personalize services, including rides, deliveries, marketplace orders, and installment payments.
  • Process payments, prevent fraud, secure accounts, and support SMS verification.
  • Show real-time status and ETA and enable chat with drivers, shoppers, and specialists.
  • Operate wallet features, including credits, cash-outs, and receipts.
  • Send important notifications about orders, trips, promotions, and policy changes.
  • Improve reliability and safety through analytics and diagnostics.

Sharing and Disclosure

  • We share information with service providers and partners needed to fulfill your requests, such as payment processors, courier and driver partners, and SMS or email providers.
  • We share order information with sellers and restaurants so they can prepare and ship your orders.
  • We may share information with law enforcement or competent authorities when required by law or to protect users.
  • We may share information with your consent, such as when you contact a seller or partner or use third-party integrations.

Your Choices and Controls

  • You can update your profile, language, and contact information in Profile > Settings.
  • You can manage notifications in system settings and inside the app.
  • You can access, correct, or delete your data by contacting support within the app or by emailing support@lounapp.com.
  • You can request account deletion. Some records may be retained as required by law, such as payment records and receipts.

Data Security and Retention

  • We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and access controls.
  • We retain data for as long as needed to provide services, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Your information may be processed in countries where our providers operate. We take steps to protect your data consistent with this policy.
